Maintain your friendship with him and see where it takes you. Also try not to put him on a high pedestal, and if you already do do not let him know this as that might put you in a very vulnerable position with him. Try to be confident and reure yourself that you are beautiful, attractive, intelligent and likable. Eventually he will hopefully start to see you the way you perceive yourself.
