Will we need any novacaine if we elect McPain?

I don't understand our country always following the drumbeat of oil driven Republican presidents. The Mideast oil crisis of 1973 should have made us get away from oil under Nixon. They say it was bad when Carter was president gas prices were high, but actually it should have made us take action to find alternative energy and save the environment, but instead Reagan made oil look good by temporarily lowering the prices at the expense of fueling the Iraq Iran war and Iran Contra to get us into the mess were in. I think it was the Republicans who messed up the Mideast peace process under Carter to provoke Iran and the Arab States for their foreign oil we are getting murdered by. Now McCain and all ye Republicans want to open up drilling here in U.S. to lower oil prices. That tells me he isn't interested in renewable energy or the enviroment. He is interested in making the rich richer and to hell with the poor,global warming for sake of the mighty dollar. High gas prices is good for change
